Yoga Classes
in Downham Market

Hello!

Thank you for stopping!

I'm Rachel and I am passionate about creating inclusive yoga space where everyone is welcome, acknowledging that every body has unique needs on and off the mat.

Whether you're just starting out or been practicing years , I’m here to provide a dynamic and restorative practice for all with options, variations, modifications, and challenges to suit your journey!

If you're interested in learning more about me, my training, and other details, you'll find a below. Just a heads up, it's quite lengthy, so no pressure!

A little more about me...

The Beginning...I first discovered yoga in 2007 whilst living in London and quickly realised it was much more than a physical practice. What began as a way to move and connect with my body soon became a lifelong journey of self-discovery, resilience, and balance.

My training....In 2015, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Alliance International Teacher Training with Trimurti Yoga in Dharamshala, India. Inspired to deepen my knowledge and teaching, I went on to complete my 300-hour advanced teacher training in Mysore, India, in 2017 with  Yoga Dharshanam. Since then I have been very lucky to have CPD trainings with esteemed teachers such as  David Swenson, Kino Macgregor, Scott Johnson and Bernie Clark.

The Journey.....Over the years, I travelled extensively, teaching yoga and hosting retreats around the world. During this time, my personal practice was rooted in a daily Ashtanga Yoga with a bit of Yin and Hatha thrown in there, which collectively cultivated strength, focus, and dedication both on and off the mat.

Currently....My relationship with yoga has evolved alongside the many changes life has brought. Following pregnancy and the birth of my son, who is now 18 months old, my practice naturally shifted towards slower, more restorative forms of movement. This transition deepened my appreciation for the body's changing needs through different stages of life and strengthened my understanding that yoga should adapt to us, rather than the other way around.

As I gradually return to more dynamic practices, I bring a wealth of lived experience to my teaching. My journey through travel, motherhood, personal transformation, and my parallel work as a psychotherapist allows me to offer classes that are compassionate, accessible, and responsive to the realities of modern life.

I hope that the changes my body has experienced, and the very different life I now lead compared to my years travelling the world and teaching retreats, help me connect with an even wider range of students. My teaching today is less about achieving a particular pose and more about helping people find balance, strength, confidence, and ease within themselves.

I truly believe yoga is for everybody and every - body. Whether you're looking for strength, flexibility, rest, recovery, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, my aim is to create a welcoming space where you can explore a practice that supports you exactly as you are.

I hope to see you on the mat soon,

Rach x

What is 'Tula'?

Formerly known as Humblebee, I have had the privilege of teaching yoga to hundreds of clients across the UK and internationally, hosting retreats, weekly classes, specialist workshops, and teacher trainings.

However, in 2020, like many others, Humblebee came to a halt due to the global shutdown, and much has transformed since then (as mentioned in bio above!) but here starts the journey TULA YOGA and I couldn't be happier to be back on the mat teaching in my home town!

The name Tula, which translates to BALANCE in Sanskrit, perfectly reflects my current journey and the classes I aim to provide, guiding you towards finding that sense of balance and flow in your life!
